Ingredients

  • 1 pound (454 g) venison steak (450 grams)
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) vegetable oil (30 milliliters)
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) soy sauce (15 milliliters)
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) soy sauce (15 milliliters)
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) cornstarch (8 grams)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch piece fresh ginger, grated (2.5 centimeters)
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup (240 ml) broccoli florets (150 grams)
  • 1 cup (240 ml) sugar snap peas (150 grams)
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste


Instructions

  1. Thinly slice the venison steak against the grain.
  2. In a bowl, combine venison slices with cornstarch, soy sauce, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix well and let marinate for 15 minutes.
  4. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
  5. Add venison to the pan and stir-fry until browned. Remove and set aside.
  6. Add remaining tablespoon of oil to the pan.
  7. Add minced garlic and grated ginger, stirring for 30 seconds.
  8. Add sliced red bell pepper, broccoli florets, sugar snap peas, and julienned carrot.
  9. Stir-fry vegetables for 3-4 minutes until they are tender-crisp.
  10. Return venison to the pan with the vegetables.
  11. Add oyster sauce and stir everything to combine.
  12. Cook for another 2 minutes, allowing flavors to meld.
  13. Sprinkle sliced green onions over the stir-fry.
  14. Adjust seasoning with salt and black pepper if needed.
  15. Serve hot immediately.
