Description

Make your own vegetable bouillon using fresh vegetables for a delicious and preservative-free seasoning.

Ingredients

  • 2 carrots
  • 2 celery stalks
  • 1 onion
  • 2 tomatoes
  • A handful of parsley
  • Purple cabbage leaves
  • 4 to 5 mushrooms
  • 2 teaspoons sea salt
  • 2 teaspoons turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon granulated garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne powder

Instructions

  1. Prepare the vegetables: Slice all of your vegetables thinly.
  2. Dehydrate the veggies: Place the sliced vegetables on trays of your dehydrator.
  3. Set the temperature: Set your dehydrator to 135°F and allow the vegetables to dry for about 6 to 8 hours.
  4. Check for doneness: Check the vegetables periodically.
  5. Remove when ready: When the vegetables look dry and brittle, remove them.
  6. Grind the dried veggies: Grind them in a blender or food processor until fine.
  7. Store the bouillon: Store the ground bouillon in the freezer for freshness.

Notes

Use fresh vegetables for the best flavor, and experiment with herbs and spices to customize your bouillon.
