Description

A delicious blend of ground beef, cheeses, and buttered bread, creating the ultimate cheesy melt perfect for any meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 slices sourdough or white bread
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)


Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef.
  2. Add chopped onion and garlic, stirring until the onion becomes translucent.
  3. Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Pour in the Worcestershire sauce and beef broth. Simmer until the liquid reduces.
  5. Butter one side of each slice of bread.
  6. Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  7. Place two slices of bread, butter side down, on the skillet.
  8. Add a layer of cheddar, followed by the beef mixture, and a layer of mozzarella.
  9. Top with the remaining bread slices, butter side up.
  10. Grill each side for 3–4 minutes until golden brown and the cheese melts. Flip carefully.
  11. Slice and serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

For a crunchier exterior, consider placing a weight on the sandwiches while cooking.
