Description
A layered dessert with chocolate cookie crust, creamy filling, and rich pudding layers, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs (like Oreos)
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
- 1 package (3.9 oz) instant chocolate pudding mix
- 1 3/4 cups cold milk
- 1 cup whipped topping
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1/4 cup caramel sauce
- 1/4 cup chocolate sauce
Instructions
- Prepare the crust: In a medium bowl, mix the chocolate cookie crumbs with melted butter until well combined. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of the baking dish to form an even crust. Place the dish in the refrigerator to chill while preparing other layers.
- Cream cheese layer: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy. Fold in the whipped topping until fully incorporated. Spread this mixture over the chilled crust evenly.
- Chocolate pudding layer: In a separate bowl, whisk together the chocolate pudding mix and cold milk until thickened, about 2-3 minutes. Spread the pudding over the cream cheese layer evenly.
- Top with whipped topping and toppings: Spread the remaining whipped topping over the chocolate pudding layer. Sprinkle chopped pecans on top, then drizzle with caramel and chocolate sauces.
- Chill: Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 240 minutes, or until the dessert is firm and chilled.
- Serve: Slice and serve chilled, enjoying the layers of this delicious turtle-inspired treat!
Notes
For best results, allow the dessert to chill longer. Use a food processor to crush the cookies for a finer crumb.
