Description
These crack burgers combine tender ground chuck, crispy bacon, and gooey cheddar cheese, enhanced by a flavorful crack sauce, making them the ultimate crowd-pleaser for gatherings.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground chuck (80/20 recommended)
- 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 6 strips cooked bacon, chopped
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Burger buns (brioche or sesame work well)
- Butter for toasting buns
- Sliced pickles
- Lettuce
- Tomatoes
- Onions
- More cheese
- Crack sauce (a mix of mayo, mustard, and ranch)
Instructions
- Combine the ground chuck, ranch seasoning, shredded cheddar, and chopped cooked bacon in a large bowl. Mix gently by hand until just combined.
- Divide the mixture into 6 equal portions and shape them into patties about ¾-inch thick, pressing a small indentation in the center of each patty.
- Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat. If grilling, oil the grates lightly. If pan-searing, add a small amount of oil to the pan.
- Cook the burgers for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired doneness. Add extra cheese on top during the last minute if desired.
- Toast the buns with butter in a separate skillet or on the grill while the burgers cook.
- Assemble with your favorite toppings and serve hot.
Notes
For best results, avoid frequent flipping and use a meat thermometer to check for doneness. Let burgers rest for a few minutes after cooking to retain moisture.
