Delicious and easy-to-make quesadillas filled with seasoned ground venison, cheese, and fresh vegetables, perfect for sharing.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground venison
- 4 flour tortillas
- 1 cup cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 1-2 bell peppers, chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp cumin
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Sour cream (for serving)
- Salsa (for serving)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add chopped onion and bell peppers; sauté until soft.
- Mix in minced garlic and ground venison; cook until meat is browned.
- Season the mixture with cumin, salt, and pepper.
- Lay a tortilla in another pan over medium heat, sprinkle cheese on one half, add the venison mixture, and fold the tortilla.
- Cook until the bottom is golden and cheese melts, then flip and cook the other side.
- Repeat with remaining tortillas.
- Serve hot with sour cream and salsa.
Notes
Use a non-stick pan to prevent sticking and ensure even cooking. Consider adding jalapeños for a spicy kick.
