Description

Delicious and easy-to-make quesadillas filled with seasoned ground venison, cheese, and fresh vegetables, perfect for sharing.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground venison
  • 4 flour tortillas
  • 1 cup cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1-2 bell peppers, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Sour cream (for serving)
  • Salsa (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onion and bell peppers; sauté until soft.
  3. Mix in minced garlic and ground venison; cook until meat is browned.
  4. Season the mixture with cumin, salt, and pepper.
  5. Lay a tortilla in another pan over medium heat, sprinkle cheese on one half, add the venison mixture, and fold the tortilla.
  6. Cook until the bottom is golden and cheese melts, then flip and cook the other side.
  7. Repeat with remaining tortillas.
  8. Serve hot with sour cream and salsa.

Notes

Use a non-stick pan to prevent sticking and ensure even cooking. Consider adding jalapeños for a spicy kick.
