  • Breadcrumbs, 1/2 cup (120 ml) (60 grams)
  • Egg, 1 large
  • Onion, finely chopped, 1/4 cup (60 ml) (40 grams)
  • Garlic powder, 1 teaspoon (5 ml) (5 grams)
  • Salt, 1 teaspoon (5 ml) (5 grams)
  • Black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) (2.5 grams)
  • Cheddar cheese, cubed, 4 ounce (113 g) s (115 grams)
  • Chili powder, 1 teaspoon (5 ml) (5 grams)
  • Honey, 2 tablespoon (30 ml) s (30 milliliters)
  • Brown sugar, 2 tablespoon (30 ml) s (30 grams)
  • Olive oil, for greasing


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and chili powder.
  3. Mix the ingredients thoroughly until well combined.
  4. Take a small portion of the meat mixture and flatten it in your palm.
  5. Place a cube of cheddar cheese in the center of the flattened meat.
  6. Wrap the meat around the cheese, forming a ball and ensuring the cheese is fully enclosed.
  7. Repeat steps 4-6 until all the meat mixture is used up, making multiple meatballs.
  8. Wrap each meatball with a slice of chicken bacon, securing with a toothpick if necessary.
  9. Lightly grease a baking sheet with olive oil.
  10. Place the bacon-wrapped meatballs on the prepared baking sheet.
  11. In a small bowl, mix barbecue sauce, honey, and brown sugar until smooth.
