Ingredients

  • 2 pound (907 g) hot beef sausage
  • 2 8-oz packages cream cheese, at room temperature
  • 1 30-32 oz (879 g) bag froz en shredded hash browns
  • 1 tbsp (15 ml). salt
  • 1/2 tbsp (8 ml). pepper
  • 1/4 tbsp (4 ml). garlic powder
  • 1/4 tbsp (4 ml). onion powder
  • 2 c shredded cheddar cheese
  • 8 eggs
  • 2 c milk


Instructions

  1. Set your oven to 350°F to preheat.
  2. Brown the sausage in a pan, then drain the excess grease.
  3. Mix the cooked sausage with the cream cheese.
  4. In the same pan, lightly cook the hash browns.
  5. Place the hash browns in a 9×13 inch baking dish, add the sausage and cream cheese mixture on top, and sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
  6. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and milk until combined.
  7. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the layers in the baking dish.
  8. Bake in the oven for 40 to 50 minutes until the top is set and golden.
