Description

Delightful Hawaiian rolls filled with creamy Boston cream pie filling, combining nostalgia and indulgence.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup vanilla pudding mix
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Chocolate ganache for topping


Instructions

  1. Combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar in a mixing bowl. Let sit until bubbly.
  2. Mix flour and salt in another bowl. Add melted butter, eggs, and yeast mixture.
  3. Knead until smooth, then let rise until doubled.
  4. Divide dough into small balls, and let rest.
  5. Prepare the filling by mixing heavy cream, vanilla pudding, and vanilla extract until thick.
  6. Stuff each roll with pudding mixture.
  7. Bake rolls at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes.
  8. Drizzle cooled rolls with chocolate ganache.
