- 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) garlic powder
- salt and ground black pepper to taste
- 6 hamburger buns, split
Instructions
- Warm up a large pan on medium heat. Place the lean ground beef into the heated pan and stir until the fat begins to melt, about 3 to 4 minutes.
- Introduce the chopped onion and green bell pepper; continue cooking until the vegetables become tender and the beef is fully browned, around 3 to 5 minutes longer.
- Mix in the tomato sauce, brown sugar, mustard, and garlic powder; add salt and ground black pepper to your liking.
- Lower the heat to a simmer and let the mixture cook gently for 20 to 30 minutes.
