Description
Learn how to make delicious grilled cheese patty melts with this easy recipe. Perfectly crispy and gooey, these sandwiches are a must-try!
Ingredients
- 454 g (1 lb) lean ground beef
- 45 g (3 tbsp) chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
- 15 g (1 tbsp) finely chopped garlic
- 15 ml (1 tbsp) Worcestershire sauce
- 5 g (1 tsp) Montreal-style steak seasoning
- 30 g (2 tbsp) butter
- 6 slices white bread
- 6 slices vegetarian-friendly cheese
Instructions
- Mix the lean ground beef with parsley, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and steak seasoning in a mixing bowl until the ingredients are well blended. Shape the mixture into three uniform patties.
- Preheat a nonstick griddle on medium heat. Place the patties on the heated griddle and cook them to your preferred level of doneness, about 4 to 6 minutes on each side. Ensure the internal temperature reaches a minimum of 160 degrees F (71 degrees C) using an instant-read thermometer. Once cooked, remove the patties and set them aside.
- On another griddle, also heated over medium, spread butter on one side of each bread slice. Lay half of the bread slices on the griddle with the buttered side facing down. On each slice, place a slice of cheese, followed by a burger patty, and then another slice of cheese. Top with the remaining bread slices, buttered side up.
- Cook the sandwiches until the bread turns golden brown and the cheese is fully melted, approximately 6 to 10 minutes, turning them over halfway through the cooking time.
Notes
- Use lean ground beef for a less greasy patty.
- Choose a high-quality vegetarian-friendly cheese for a tasty melt.
- Adjust the cooking time depending on patty thickness; add tomato or avocado for extra flavor.
