Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef (80/20 preferred)
  • 1/2 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup grated onion (or finely chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: 2 tablespoons chopped parsley (for garnish)
  • Olive oil (if pan-frying)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Prepare the breadcrumb mixture by combining the breadcrumbs and milk in a large bowl. Allow it to sit for 5 minutes.
  3. Add the egg, minced garlic, grated onion, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well combined.
  4. Mix in the ground beef gently, ensuring not to overmix.
  5. Form the mixture into 1 ½-inch balls and place them on the baking sheet.
  6. Cook the meatballs in the oven for 18-20 minutes or pan-sear in olive oil for 8-10 minutes, ensuring they are cooked through.
