Ingredients
- 1 lb (450g) ground beef (80/20 preferred)
- 1/2 cup plain breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup grated onion (or finely chopped)
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Optional: 2 tablespoons chopped parsley (for garnish)
- Olive oil (if pan-frying)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- Prepare the breadcrumb mixture by combining the breadcrumbs and milk in a large bowl. Allow it to sit for 5 minutes.
- Add the egg, minced garlic, grated onion, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well combined.
- Mix in the ground beef gently, ensuring not to overmix.
- Form the mixture into 1 ½-inch balls and place them on the baking sheet.
- Cook the meatballs in the oven for 18-20 minutes or pan-sear in olive oil for 8-10 minutes, ensuring they are cooked through.
- Garnish with parsley before serving.
