Description

A simple yet indulgent dessert made with fresh mangoes, sago pearls, and creamy coconut milk.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sago or mini tapioca pearls
  • 6 cups water
  • 2 fresh mangoes (either Australian or regular)
  • ½ cup condensed milk
  • 1 cup full-fat coconut milk

Instructions

  1. In a pot, add sago pearls and water.
  2. Turn the heat to medium-low and cook for 10 minutes, stirring constantly.
  3. After 10 minutes, cover the pot with a lid, turn off the heat, and let the sago rest for 3 minutes.
  4. Drain the sago pearls and run them under cold water.
  5. Cut fresh mangoes into cubes and place half in a blender.
  6. Add condensed milk and coconut milk to the blender and blend until smooth.
  7. Gently fold in the drained sago pearls.
  8. Serve topped with remaining fresh mango cubes.

Notes

For a refreshing twist, consider adding a bit of lime or lemon juice.
