Description

A rich and comforting seafood bisque featuring tender crab and succulent shrimp in a velvety broth, perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb crab meat
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 cups seafood stock
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

  2. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes until it forms a roux.
  3. Gradually whisk in the seafood stock, bringing it to a simmer.
  4. Add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Stir in the crab meat, heavy cream, Old Bay seasoning, and season with salt and pepper.
  6. Allow the bisque to simmer for an additional 10 minutes.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

For additional flavor, use homemade seafood stock if possible. Garnish with lemon zest for a refreshing twist.
