Ingredients
- 1 (21 oz) can apple pie filling
- 4 medium apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 (12 oz) package refrigerated cinnamon rolls
- Powdered sugar for garnish
- Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for serving
Instructions
- Combine apple slices with sugar, cinnamon, and 3 tablespoons of water in a bowl; let macerate.
- Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat and add apple mixture.
- Sprinkle in cornstarch; stir until mixture thickens (5-7 minutes).
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare cinnamon rolls as per package instructions; arrange over apple filling.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until cinnamon roll crust is golden-brown.
- Allow pie to cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.
