Description

Delightful cinnamon apple rolls with soft dough and a comforting apple-cinnamon filling, perfect for breakfast or dessert.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 apple, peeled and diced
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk and let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. In a larger bowl, mix together flour, sugar, melted butter, egg, and salt.
  3. Add the activated yeast mixture to the flour mixture and knead until a dough forms.
  4. Let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and spread diced apples on top.
  7. Mix cinnamon and brown sugar, and sprinkle over apples.
  8. Roll the dough into a log and slice into rolls.
  9. Place rolls in a greased baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  10. Serve warm.

Notes

For softer rolls, let the dough rise longer or experiment with adding a pinch of sugar for browning. Consider refrigerating the rolls overnight for easier morning prep.
