Description

A delightful and healthier treat combining bananas, creamy peanut butter, and rich chocolate, perfect for satisfying sweet cravings.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/3 cup natural peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 2 teaspoons coconut oil

Instructions

  1. Peel and slice the bananas into rounds about 1/4 inch thick.
  2. Line a platter or small baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. On each slice, place about 1/2 teaspoon of peanut butter.
  4. Top with another slice, forming a little sandwich.
  5. Keep going until all banana slices are used. You should have about 30 bites.
  6. Place the bites on the lined platter and freeze for about 1 hour.
  7. After the bites have hardened, melt the chocolate by combining it with coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl.
  8. Microwave for 1 minute, then stir. Continue microwaving in 30-second increments until melted (this should take no more than 2 minutes).
  9. Remove one platter of frozen banana bites from the freezer. Dip each bite halfway into the melted chocolate.
  10. Return the chocolate-covered bites to the parchment-lined platter.
  11. Repeat until all bites are coated.
  12. Freeze for another 15 minutes to harden.

Notes

Consider adding a sprinkle of sea salt on the melted chocolate before it sets for enhanced flavor. Experiment with different nut butters and toppings for variety.
