Description

Delightful bite-sized treats featuring flaky crescent dough filled with creamy cherry goodness, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • One package (8-count) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • One can (approximately 21 oz) cherry pie filling
  • Two tablespoons softened cream cheese
  • One tablespoon powdered sugar
  • One teaspoon vanilla extract
  • One tablespoon melted butter
  • Two tablespoons coarse sugar (optional)
  • For glaze: ½ cup powdered sugar mixed with 1-2 teaspoons milk (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla in a small bowl until smooth.
  3. Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into triangles.
  4. Place ½ teaspoon of the cream cheese mixture at the center of each triangle.
  5. Top the cream cheese with 1-2 cherries, adding a little filling if desired.
  6. Fold the corners of the dough over the filling, pinching the edges to seal.
  7. Arrange the sealed bites on the baking sheet. Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle with coarse sugar if desired.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the bites are golden brown.
  9. For an optional glaze, stir the powdered sugar and milk until smooth, then drizzle it over the bites once they cool slightly.

Notes

For a unique twist, try mixing different fruits with the cream cheese filling or adding chocolate chips or nuts.
