Ingredients
- One package (8-count) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- One can (approximately 21 oz) cherry pie filling
- Two tablespoons softened cream cheese
- One tablespoon powdered sugar
- One teaspoon vanilla extract
- One tablespoon melted butter
- Two tablespoons coarse sugar (optional)
- For glaze: ½ cup powdered sugar mixed with 1-2 teaspoons milk (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla in a small bowl until smooth.
- Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into triangles.
- Place ½ teaspoon of the cream cheese mixture at the center of each triangle.
- Top the cream cheese with 1-2 cherries, adding a little filling if desired.
- Fold the corners of the dough over the filling, pinching the edges to seal.
- Arrange the sealed bites on the baking sheet. Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle with coarse sugar if desired.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the bites are golden brown.
- For an optional glaze, stir the powdered sugar and milk until smooth, then drizzle it over the bites once they cool slightly.
