Ingredients

  • – 1 pound (454 g) lean ground beef
  • – 2 ounces (57 g) sharp cheddar cheese – cubed into 8 cubes
  • – 1 teaspoon (5 ml) kosher salt
  • – 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) black pepper
  • – 2 teaspoons (10 ml) garlic powder
  • – 2 teaspoons (10 ml) smoked paprika
  • – Vegetable oil spray


Instructions

  1. Set your oven to 400°F and prepare a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper that can withstand high temperatures, or you may choose a lightly greased Pyrex or ceramic dish instead.
  2. Portion the beef into eight equal pieces and flatten each piece into a disc. Position a cheddar cube at the center of each disc.
  3. Form each disc into a meatball, ensuring it is sealed securely.
