Ingredients

  • 2 pounds (907 g) potatoes (900 grams)
  • 1 pound (454 g) beef sausage (450 grams)
  • 1 cup (240 ml) shredded cheddar cheese (100 grams)
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) ranch dressing (120 milliliters)
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) olive oil (15 milliliters)
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) garlic powder (5 grams)
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) onion powder (5 grams)
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) paprika (2.5 grams)
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) chopped fresh parsley (8 grams)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Wash and peel the potatoes, then cut them into 1-inch cubes.
  3. Slice the smoked beef sausage into 1/4-inch thick rounds.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the potatoes and olive oil.
  5. Add garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper to the bowl.
  6. Toss the potatoes thoroughly to coat them with the seasoning.
  7. Spread the seasoned potatoes evenly on a baking sheet.
  8. Roast in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
  9. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and add the sliced sausage.
  10. Stir the potatoes and sausage together on the baking sheet.
  11. Return the baking sheet to the oven and roast for an additional 15 minutes.
  12. Remove from the oven and drizzle ranch dressing over the potatoes and sausage.
  13. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
  14. Place back in the oven and bake for 5-7 minutes, or until cheese is melted.
  15. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly.
  16. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
