Ingredients
- 1 pound asparagus, with woody ends trimmed
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Arrange the trimmed asparagus in a baking dish.
- Combine olive oil, minced garlic, and heavy cream in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a simmer.
- Stir in the shredded cheese until melted and smooth. Pour the cheese sauce over the asparagus.
- Sprinkle breadcrumbs on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the asparagus is tender and the top is golden.
