Description

Soft and chewy birthday cookies with colorful sprinkles and white chocolate chips, perfect for celebrations.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (111g) salted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup (111g) margarine, softened
  • 1 1/4 cup (288g) granulated sugar + more for rolling
  • 1 egg
  • 2 Tbsp light corn syrup
  • 1 tsp cake batter flavoring
  • 2 1/2 cups (380g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup (107g) sprinkles
  • 1/2 cup (100g) white chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Cream together the softened butter, margarine, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  2. Add the egg, corn syrup, and cake batter flavoring, mixing until fully combined.
  3. Whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  4. Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until a soft dough forms.
  5. Mix in the colorful sprinkles and white chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  6. Portion out the cookie dough using a scoop and arrange on a prepared cookie sheet.
  7. Bake at 350°F (180°C) for 7-9 minutes for smaller cookies or 9-11 minutes for larger ones.
  8. Allow cookies to cool on the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.

Notes

For chewier cookies, consider chilling the dough for 30 minutes before baking. Rolling dough balls in granulated sugar adds extra sweetness.
