Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh asparagus
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons pecorino cheese (optional, for serving)
  • Lemon (optional, for serving)


Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the asparagus and trim the ends by cutting them about 1-2 inches from the bottom.
  2. Preheat the air fryer to 390°F.
  3. Place the trimmed asparagus into a large bowl or dish. Drizzle it with olive oil and season it with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Toss to ensure each spear is coated evenly.
  5. Lay the seasoned asparagus in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  6. Cook until tender and crispy, which takes about 5-10 minutes, depending on the thickness of the asparagus.
  7. Serve immediately, optionally topped with pecorino cheese and a squeeze of lemon.

Notes

Don’t overcrowd the basket for best crispiness. Experiment with seasonings and cheeses for variety.
