Description

Delightful and flaky twists filled with mixed berry preserves, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 1/2 cup mixed berry preserves
  • 1 egg, beaten for wash
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to smooth any creases.
  3. Spread the mixed berry preserves evenly over the pastry, leaving a 1-inch border on all sides.
  4. Mix the melted butter with the vanilla extract and brush this mixture over the preserves.
  5. Cut the pastry into 8 equal strips using a sharp knife.
  6. Carefully twist each strip several times to create spiral shapes, then place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Brush each twist with the beaten egg wash and sprinkle with granulated sugar.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the twists are golden brown and puffed, with a crispy exterior and caramelized sugar.
  9. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Using high-quality berry preserves can elevate the flavor. Serve warm or at room temperature.
