A comforting dish featuring tender beef strips in a creamy sauce served over egg noodles or rice.
Ingredients
- 1 lb beef sirloin, cut into strips
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Egg noodles or rice, for serving
Instructions
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the onions and garlic, then sauté until translucent.
- Add mushrooms and beef strips, cooking until the beef is browned.
- Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir to combine.
- Gradually add the beef broth, stirring continuously until thickened.
- Lower the heat and stir in sour cream; season with salt and pepper.
- Serve over cooked egg noodles or rice.
Notes
For a smoky flavor, consider adding a pinch of paprika to the sauce.
