Ingredients
- 1 package of beef bacon (12 oz (340 g))
- 1 tablespoon barbecue sauce (15 ml)
- 8 slices of bread
- 1 cup (240 ml) shredded cheddar cheese (4 oz (113 g) / 113 g)
- 4 tablespoon (60 ml) s unsalted butter (2 oz (57 g) / 57 g)
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (8 g)
- 2 tablespoon s brown sugar (28 g)
- Cream cheese spread (optional )
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Lay the bacon strips on a baking sheet.
- Brush the bacon with barbecue sauce.
- Bake the bacon for 15-20 minutes until crispy.
- Remove bacon from the oven and let it cool.
- In a small bowl, mix ground cinnamon and brown sugar.
- Spread butter on one side of each bread slice.
- Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over the buttered sides.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat.
- Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, on the skillet.
- Add a layer of shredded cheddar cheese on the bread.
- Place 2-3 strips of bacon on top of the cheese.
- Add more cheese on top of the bacon.
- Top with another slice of bread, buttered side up.
- Grill the sandwich for 3-4 minutes until golden.
- Carefully flip the sandwich and grill the other side for 3-4 minutes.
- Repeat for remaining sandwiches.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Serve warm, with cream cheese spread if desired.
