Delicious banana bread brownies that perfectly meld the sweetness of bananas with rich chocolate flavors.
Ingredients
- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon butter, cut into small pieces
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line the 9×13-inch baking pan.
- Mash the ripe bananas in a large bowl. Add the melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Beat until combined.
- Whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder in a separate bowl. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Stir in the milk and chocolate chips (if using).
- Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan.
- Mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon, and sprinkle this mixture over the batter. Dot with the small pieces of butter.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with a few crumbs attached.
- Cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Slice into squares and enjoy!
Notes
For a richer flavor, consider adding a splash of espresso or using high-quality chocolate chips.
