Description

Delicious banana bread brownies that perfectly meld the sweetness of bananas with rich chocolate flavors.


Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon butter, cut into small pieces


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line the 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas in a large bowl. Add the melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Beat until combined.
  3. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder in a separate bowl. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients until just combined.
  4. Stir in the milk and chocolate chips (if using).
  5. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan.
  6. Mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon, and sprinkle this mixture over the batter. Dot with the small pieces of butter.
  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with a few crumbs attached.
  8. Cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Slice into squares and enjoy!
