Delightful bacon wrapped asparagus bundles that combine crispy bacon with tender asparagus for a perfect appetizer or side dish.
Ingredients
- 7 slices of regular thin bacon
- 12 ounces of fresh asparagus
- 2 teaspoons of olive oil
- Fresh ground pepper
- Kosher salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a rack on top.
- Snap off the woody ends of the asparagus spears and toss them in olive oil.
- Season the asparagus with kosher salt and fresh ground pepper to taste.
- Group the asparagus in bunches of 3-5 spears each.
- Wrap a slice of bacon around each asparagus bundle, leaving the tips exposed.
- Place the bundles on the baking sheet rack.
- Bake for 10-15 minutes until the bacon is crispy and the asparagus is tender.
Notes
For added flavor, consider marinating the asparagus in a garlic herb mixture before wrapping.
