A quick and easy 4 ingredient hamburger casserole that combines pasta, beef, and cheese for a comforting family meal.
Ingredients
- 1 lb medium pasta shells
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 (10 oz) cans of tomato soup
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup water
- Garlic, salt, and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Start by cooking and draining the pasta according to the package directions.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F and grease a 9×13 baking dish.
- Brown the ground beef in a large skillet with your choice of seasonings.
- Add the drained pasta, tomato soup, water, and half of the shredded cheese to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Pour the mixture into the greased baking dish and top with the remaining cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
- For a crispy top, turn on the broiler for 2-3 minutes.
Notes
Letting the casserole sit for a few minutes before serving helps it set. Adjust seasonings according to your taste, and feel free to add more cheese or vegetables.
