Description

Delicious danishes made with rich brioche dough and a creamy wild blueberry filling, perfect for breakfast or an afternoon snack.


Ingredients

  • Brioche dough
  • 1 Vanilla bean
  • 8 oz Cream cheese
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Wild blueberries
  • 1/2 cup Flour
  • 4 tbsp Butter
  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Roll out the brioche dough on a floured surface and cut into squares.
  3. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, vanilla bean, eggs, and sugar until smooth.
  4. Place a spoonful of cream cheese mixture and a few wild blueberries in the center of each dough square.
  5. Fold the dough over to create a pocket and seal.
  6. In another bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and butter to create a crumb topping.
  7. Sprinkle the crumb over the danishes.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden.
  9. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Handle brioche dough gently to avoid toughness. Using chilled cream cheese results in a smooth filling.
