Description

A hearty, comforting dish made with tender venison or beef tips mixed with egg noodles, sautéed onions, and mushrooms.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound venison or beef, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 12 ounces egg noodles
  • 1 cup fresh white mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic; sauté until soft.
  3. Add the venison or beef pieces to the skillet and brown on all sides.
  4. Stir in the mushrooms and cook for about 5 minutes.
  5. Add the beef broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer and let it cook for about 15-20 minutes or until the meat is tender.
  6. Combine the cooked egg noodles with the meat mixture, stirring gently to combine.
  7. Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

For variations, feel free to experiment with different types of noodles or vegetables. This dish can also be made vegetarian by substituting the meat with mushrooms and increasing the broth.
