Ingredients

- Onion powder, 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) (1 gram)
- Small onions, 2
- Vegetable oil, 2 tablespoons (30 ml) (28 grams)
- Brown sugar, 1 tablespoon (15 ml) (12 grams)
- Slider buns, 8
- Lettuce leaves, 8
- Tomato, 1, sliced
- Mayonnaise, 1/4 cup (60 ml) (60 milliliters)
Instructions
- Peel and thinly slice the onions.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add the sliced onions to the skillet.
- Sprinkle brown sugar over the onions.
- Cook onions, stirring often, until caramelized, about 15 minutes.
- Remove onions from skillet and set aside.
- In a bowl, combine ground venison, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Mix well until spices are evenly distributed.
- Divide the venison mixture into 8 equal portions.
- Shape each portion into a small patty.
- Heat the remaining tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook the patties in the skillet for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until cooked to desired doneness.
- Remove patties from the skillet and let them rest.
- Slice the slider buns in half and toast lightly if desired.
- Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun.
- Place a lettuce leaf on top of the mayonnaise.
- Add a venison patty on top of the lettuce.
- Top each patty with a slice of tomato.
- Add a spoonful of caramelized onions on top of the tomato.
- Place the top half of the bun on each slider.
