Ingredients

  • 1 pound (454 g) ground venison
  • 3/4 cup (180 ml) chopped onion, divided
  • 3/4 cup (180 ml) chopped green pepper, divided
  • 2 tablespoon (30 ml) s canola oil
  • 1 pound (454 g) process cheese (Velveeta), cubed
  • 1 can (15 ounce (425 g) s) chili without beans
  • 1 bottle (12 ounce (340 g) s) chili sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) garlic salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) pepper
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) shredded cheddar cheese
  • Nacho chips


Instructions

  1. In a large frying pan over medium heat, sauté the ground venison with 1/2 cup of chopped onion and 1/2 cup of chopped green pepper in canola oil until the meat loses its pink color; drain the excess liquid.
  2. Add the next six ingredients to the pan; mix and heat until the cheese is fully melted and smooth.
  3. Move the mixture to a serving bowl. Top with shredded cheddar cheese and the remaining onion and green pepper. Enjoy with nacho chips.
