Ingredients
- 6 slices beef bacon, minced
- 2 tablespoon (30 ml) s olive oil
- 2 shallots, minced
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) minced garlic
- 2 pounds (907 g) ground venison
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) chopped fresh parsley
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 large egg, beaten to mix
- 6 hamburger buns
Instructions
- Collect all the necessary items.
- Cook the minced bacon slices in a frying pan over medium heat until they are browned and crispy.
- Transfer the bacon and its fat to a bowl that can withstand heat, and let it cool.
- Warm up the olive oil in a frying pan. Add the minced shallots and garlic, cooking and stirring until they soften, which should take around 3 minutes.
- Combine with the cooled bacon.
- Incorporate the ground venison with the bacon mixture, seasoning it with Worcestershire sauce, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix in the beaten egg until everything is well blended. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.
- Prepare an outdoor grill, heating it to medium-high.
- Form the venison mixture into 6 round patties.
- Cook the patties on the grill to your preferred level of doneness. Serve them on toasted buns with your choice of toppings.
