Elegant tiramisu tartlets filled with creamy mascarpone and rich coffee ganache, perfect for special occasions.
Ingredients
- 100 g dark chocolate or semi-sweet chocolate (50-70% cocoa solids)
- ½ cup thickened cream (heavy cream or whipping cream)
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon granulated coffee
- 12 tartlet shells
- ¾ cup thickened cream (heavy cream or whipping cream)
- ¾ cup mascarpone cheese
- ¼ cup caster (superfine) sugar
- 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven and prepare 12 tartlet shells in a muffin tin.
- Melt the chocolate in a heatproof bowl set over simmering water, then blend in the thickened cream, brown sugar, and coffee until smooth.
- Fill the tartlet shells with this ganache mixture.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the shells firm up. Let them cool completely.
- Prepare the cream mixture by beating together thickened cream, mascarpone cheese, caster sugar, and vanilla extract until fluffy.
- Spoon this delightful mixture onto the cooled tartlets after ganache sets.
Notes
Use high-quality chocolate for the ganache and fresh mascarpone for the cream for the best results. Optionally garnish with cocoa powder or chocolate shavings.
