Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp olive oil (15 ml)
- 1 lb ground beef (450 g)
- 1/2 medium onion, diced
- 1 lb mushrooms, sliced (450 g)
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour (30 g)
- 1 cup beef broth (240 ml)
- 1 cup coconut cream (240 ml)
- 1/3 cup coconut cream (80 g)
- 1 Tbsp (15 ml) soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp (3 ml) salt, adjust to taste
- 1/2 tsp (3 ml) ground black pepper, adjust to taste
Instructions
- Heat a large, deep skillet on medium-high and drizzle with olive oil. Crumble the ground beef into the skillet and stir continuously to break it into small bits. Add the diced onions and minced garlic, cooking until the onion becomes clear and lightly browned.
- Toss in the sliced mushrooms and continue to cook for an additional 5 minutes or until they are tender. If a lot of liquid is released, allow it to evaporate.
- Sprinkle in the flour and blend thoroughly until no lumps remain.
- Pour in 1 cup of beef broth, 1 cup of coconut cream, 1 Tbsp of soy sauce, 1/2 tsp of salt, and 1/2 tsp of ground black pepper. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for approximately 5 minutes.
- Take the skillet off the heat and mix in the 1/3 cup of coconut cream. Stir until everything is well combined, adjusting seasoning as needed. Serve over your choice of noodles, rice, or potatoes.
