Ingredients

  • 2 slices of whole wheat bread
  • 2 tablespoon (30 ml) s of creamy peanut butter (30 grams)
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of honey (21 grams)
  • 1 small banana, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of chopped roasted peanuts (14 grams)
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of chocolate chips (15 grams)
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of butter, for toasting (14 grams)


Instructions

  1. Spread 1 tablespoon of peanut butter evenly on one slice of bread.
  2. Spread the remaining tablespoon of peanut butter on the second slice of bread.
  3. Drizzle 1/2 tablespoon of honey over the peanut butter on each slice.
  4. Arrange banana slices evenly over the peanut butter and honey on one slice of bread.
  5. Sprinkle chopped roasted peanuts over the banana slices.
  6. Add chocolate chips on top of the peanuts.
  7. Place the second slice of bread, peanut butter side down, on top of the chocolate chips.
  8. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  9. Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in the skillet.
  10. Place the sandwich in the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  11. Flip the sandwich and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the other side is golden brown.
  12. Remove the sandwich from the skillet and let it cool for a minute.
  13. Cut the sandwich in half and serve immediately.
