Ingredients
- 2 slices of whole wheat bread
- 2 tablespoon (30 ml) s of creamy peanut butter (30 grams)
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of honey (21 grams)
- 1 small banana, sliced
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of chopped roasted peanuts (14 grams)
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of chocolate chips (15 grams)
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of butter, for toasting (14 grams)
Instructions
- Spread 1 tablespoon of peanut butter evenly on one slice of bread.
- Spread the remaining tablespoon of peanut butter on the second slice of bread.
- Drizzle 1/2 tablespoon of honey over the peanut butter on each slice.
- Arrange banana slices evenly over the peanut butter and honey on one slice of bread.
- Sprinkle chopped roasted peanuts over the banana slices.
- Add chocolate chips on top of the peanuts.
- Place the second slice of bread, peanut butter side down, on top of the chocolate chips.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
- Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in the skillet.
- Place the sandwich in the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
- Flip the sandwich and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the other side is golden brown.
- Remove the sandwich from the skillet and let it cool for a minute.
- Cut the sandwich in half and serve immediately.
