Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (15 ml)
- 120 ml (1/2 cup) chopped onion
- 120 ml (1/2 cup) chopped celery
- 4 cans (411 g each) chicken broth
- 1 can (411 g) vegetable broth
- 225 g chopped cooked beef breast
- 355 ml (1 1/2 cups) egg noodles
- 240 ml (1 cup) sliced carrots
- 5 ml (1/2 teaspoon) dried basil
- 5 ml (1/2 teaspoon) dried oregano
- salt and ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and celery, and sauté until they are slightly soft, which should take about 5 minutes.
- Pour in the chicken broth and vegetable broth, and then add the chopped cooked beef breast, egg noodles, sliced carrots, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix all the ingredients together and bring the mixture to a boil.
- Lower the heat and let the soup simmer gently for 20 minutes.
