Description

Fresh Thai basil beef rolls filled with lean beef, colorful vegetables, and aromatic basil, offering vibrant flavors in every bite.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/2 cup chopped bell peppers
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • Rice paper wrappers

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, cook 1 lb of lean ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  2. Add 1 tbsp of soy sauce and 1 tbsp of hoisin sauce. Stir well until fully combined and let the mixture simmer for a few minutes.
  3. Incorporate 1 cup of shredded carrots and 1/2 cup of chopped bell peppers. Cook until the vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally.
  4. Soften rice paper in warm water for about 10-15 seconds. Carefully remove and lay it flat on a clean surface.
  5. Add a portion of the beef and vegetable mixture to the center, topped with fresh basil leaves.
  6. Roll up tightly, tucking in the sides as you go, to secure the filling within the wrapper.
  7. Serve immediately or refrigerate for later enjoyment.

Notes

Keep unused rice paper sheets covered with a damp cloth to maintain moisture. Experiment with different vegetables or herbs for a personal twist.
