Description

A delightful chocolate and pecan pie that embodies warmth and nostalgia, perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 pie crust
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together the corn syrup, brown sugar, sugar, melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
  3. Gently stir in the chopped pecans and semi-sweet chocolate chips.
  4. Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 60 minutes or until the filling is set and the top is golden.
  6. Let the pie cool before slicing for cleaner slices.

Notes

For a crisper crust, pre-bake the pie crust for about 10 minutes before adding the filling. If the pie is browning too quickly, cover the edges with aluminum foil.
