Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) cooked beef, tightly packed
- 1 cup (240 ml) almond milk (or milk of choice)
- 2 to 3 Medjool dates, pitted
- 1/2 inch (1.25 cm) knob of fresh ginger (or 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) dried ginger)
- 1/4 teaspoon (1.25 ml) ground turmeric
- 1/4 teaspoon (1.25 ml) ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) hemp hearts (optional; for added protein)
- ice, as needed to thicken
Instructions
- Place the cooked beef, your preferred milk, two dates, ginger, turmeric, cinnamon, and hemp hearts (if desired) into a blender. Process until the mixture is completely smooth.
- Sample the blend, and if you prefer a sweeter taste, incorporate an additional date and blend again.
- Once the texture is smooth, introduce a generous amount of ice cubes and continue blending until they are fully crushed. For a thicker consistency, you may add more ice, but be aware that it will lessen the intensity of the flavors.
- Serve immediately while still cold.
