Description

Discover how to make crispy and delicious sweet potato fries at home with our easy recipe. Perfect for a tasty snack or side dish, these fries are sure to satisfy your cravings!

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds (907 g) sweet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) paprika
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Slice the sweet potatoes into sticks that are 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick and approximately 3 inches long, then coat them with the olive oil.
  3. Combine the garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper in a small dish and sprinkle over the sweet potatoes, ensuring an even coating. Arrange them on two baking trays with edges.
  4. Place in the oven and cook until the bottom is golden and crispy, roughly 15 minutes. Turn them over and continue baking until the other side is also crisp, about another 10 minutes. Enjoy while warm.

Notes

  • Enhance the flavor by sprinkling grated Parmesan cheese or a pinch of cayenne pepper before baking.
  • Spread sweet potato sticks in a single layer on baking trays for even cooking.
  • Opt for avocado oil or coconut oil as a healthier alternative to olive oil.
