Delicious sweet chili meatballs that are perfect for family gatherings and meals. These meatballs combine savory ground beef with a sweet chili sauce for a crowd-pleasing dish.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
- 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup sweet chili sauce (for cooking)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, green onions, 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce, garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Form the mixture into small meatballs.
- Place the meatballs in the Crockpot.
- Pour 1 cup of sweet chili sauce over the meatballs.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- Serve warm, garnished with additional green onions if desired.
Notes
For a variation, try swapping ground beef for ground turkey or chicken. Allowing the meatballs to absorb sweet chili sauce will enhance their flavor.
