Ingredients
- 1 cup active sourdough starter
- 1 cup warm water
- 3 cups bread flour
- 1/2 cup matcha powder
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh strawberries
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the active sourdough starter and warm water, mixing until well blended.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, matcha powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until a dough forms.
- Gently fold in the chopped strawberries.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise for 4-6 hours or until doubled in size.
- Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
- Shape the dough into a loaf and place it in a greased loaf pan.
- Let the dough rise for another hour.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until the loaf sounds hollow when tapped.
- Allow to cool before slicing.
