Description

A nostalgic dessert made with a moist vanilla cake soaked in strawberry Jell-O, topped with whipped cream, fresh strawberries, and a crunchy graham cracker topping.

Ingredients

  • 1 box of vanilla cake mix
  • 1 cup of water
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
  • 1 package of strawberry Jell-O (3 oz)
  • 2 cups of fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup of whipped topping
  • 1 cup of crushed graham crackers
  • 1/2 cup of melted butter
  • 1/4 cup of sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, water, eggs, and oil. Mix well until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  4. Allow the cake to cool.
  5. Once cooled, poke holes all over the cake with a fork.
  6. Prepare the strawberry Jell-O according to package instructions, then pour it over the cake, ensuring it fills the holes.
  7. Refrigerate the cake for at least 2 hours to allow the Jell-O to set.
  8. In a bowl, mix crushed graham crackers with melted butter and sugar.
  9. Spread the whipped topping over the set Jell-O layer, then sprinkle with graham cracker mixture and fresh strawberries on top.
  10. Serve chilled and enjoy!

Notes

Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature for smoother batter. Don’t over-mix the cake batter to keep it light and fluffy.
