Ingredients
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 package active dry yeast
- 3 1/2 to 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup strawberries, pureed
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup glaze
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, heat milk, sugar, and butter until warm. Remove from heat and stir in the yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine 2 cups of flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and egg. Mix well, gradually adding more flour until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth. Place it in a greased bowl and let it rise until doubled in size.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle. Spread the cream cheese and powdered sugar mixture evenly over the dough.
- Swirl the pureed strawberries on top and roll the dough tightly. Cut into rolls and place in a greased baking dish.
- Let the rolls rise again for about 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Drizzle the glaze over the warm rolls before serving. Enjoy!
