Ingredients
- 1 lb lean ground turkey
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 1 cup lettuce, shredded
- 1/2 onion, sliced
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- 1 tbsp hot sauce
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix lean turkey with southwest spices, salt, and pepper.
- Form the mixture into patties and grill or pan-fry until cooked through (about 6-7 minutes per side).
- In another bowl, mix mayonnaise, lime juice, and hot sauce to create the southwest sauce.
- Assemble the burgers by placing turkey patties on buns and topping with avocado, tomato, lettuce, onion, and a dollop of the homemade southwest sauce.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
For even more flavor, let the turkey marinate with spices for 30 minutes before forming the patties. Toast the burger buns for added crunch.
