Ingredients
- 2 cups sourdough discard
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- Salt for sprinkling
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together the sourdough discard, flour, salt, sugar, and baking powder.
- Gradually add warm water and stir until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth.
- Divide the dough into small pieces and roll them into knots.
- Place the knots on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, and garlic powder.
- Brush the garlic butter mixture over the knots.
- Sprinkle a little salt on top.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve warm, perfect for dipping in soup.
