Ingredients
- 1 cup sourdough discard
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 and 1/2 cups warm water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 packet active dry yeast
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine warm water and sugar. Stir gently until dissolved.
- Sprinkle yeast over the water mixture and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes, or until foamy.
- Add the sourdough discard and melted butter to the yeast mixture. Stir well to combine.
- Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until a shaggy dough forms.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface. Knead for about 10 minutes until the dough becomes smooth.
- Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl. Cover it with a clean cloth and let it rise for about 1 hour in a warm place.
- After rising, punch down the dough and divide it into equal pieces.
- Shape each piece into rolls and place them on a greased baking sheet.
- Let the rolls rise for an additional 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
