Ingredients

  • 230 grams (1 cup) sourdough starter (active or discard)
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter or oil
  • 120 grams (1 cup) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 8 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine sourdough starter, melted butter, flour, salt, paprika, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, and shredded cheddar cheese.
  3. Stir the mixture until it binds into a shaggy dough.
  4. Transfer the dough onto a clean work surface and knead gently until smooth.
  5. Divide the dough into two equal pieces and wrap in plastic if refrigerating.
  6. Roll out the dough between two sheets of parchment paper to 1/16 inch thickness.
  7. Cut the dough into squares or desired shapes, pricking with a fork.
  8. Place on baking sheets and bake for 30-40 minutes until golden and crispy.
  9. Let cool on the tray before serving.
